Hi Greg Sorry I'm not coming to the EPICS meeting (I'm going to ICALEPCS), maybe someone could mention it in their talk. The executive summary is: Diamond will send areaDetector NDArrays containing image plus metadata from a detector running Windows to a storage node running Linux using the pvData serialization format (done) and the pvAccess network procotol (in progress, mocked up with TCP streams while I work on pvAccess win32 and think about zero-copy) over 10gbe.
