When attempting to install E (using java -jar e.jar),
I get the following output:
[stevej@zinn E-nix-0.8.12c Folder]$ java -jar e.jar
Installing E...
E 0.8.12c Installer...
Unrecognized OS, probably Ctrl-C to exit.
Then read the manual install instructions in
"/Users/stevej/Desktop/E-nix-0.8.12c Folder/README.txt".

This is an annoyance, pending a better installation
system, but not a bug. Currently (<= 0.8.12), automatic
install only happens on MSWindows. On all other
platforms, this "bug" describes the current behavior:
it prints instruction to exit the install script
("probably..."), and then it instructs you to read the
README.txt file, which should guide you through a
manual install.
Since it's not a bug per se, I've changed the
Resolution to "Fixed". Since this is a major annoyance
that needs to be fixed, I've left the Status "Open",
set the Group to "Need by 0.9", and upped the priority.
