Not *that* fussed about it... I more thought of a bar.. not like 'You got 3.1415926 EPs'.. kinda like Diablo so that you the player can see there's about that much missing for the next level.. so when you're close to it (and we update the character in the game) one might run a more risky attack just to get the last few EPs for the next level. I think we need to at least give the player some way of finding it's current character state.. otherwise he'll feel strange and will start worrying about his EPs > My preference (I think) is after the game. But I'm flexible on this issue... I also haven't decided on this yet.. it might add some nice elements when done ingame.. but also is risky when you spend too much time with it while being attacked :) > Well, that's you and I in complete agreement after two emails... Things are never this good! ;-P I'm actually waiting for this to happen.. otoh the list isn't used much anyways.. we got mostly the eom-devel team here.. that's why we need some more users on this list.. and if it's just for disagreeing :) I don't think I'll be able to add an OpenGL renderer to the 0.1 release as I'm currently stuck with a bug no one seems to know. I've tried chakie, pete, #opengl and the pyopengl list without any success so far. So for now I'll stick to make 0.1 more playable (aka update the battle system) -- Raiser, Frank aka CrashChaos IRC: irc.openprojects.net #pygame "Your either part of the problem, part of the solution, or part of the landscape." -Ronin |
