I would appreciate this as well. I have used E off and on since mmmm 2002 or so. The hard part is searching google as the project has taken a few turns from then to now and lots of what is out there is deprecated or not a good reference. Lots of people talk about e as well which makes finding good info even harder. As far as I know this is the most current guide on development however I need someone with more knowledge to confirm. http://trac.enlightenment.org/e/wiki/DevDocs Thank you Daryl On Mon, Jun 13, 2011 at 12:34 PM, Arek Stefański <asm...@gm...>wrote: > I recently found out from a friend about e17, installed it on my box and I > love it, even not being an expert, I can for sure say that it's a fine > piece > of technology. > Unfortunately, I couldn't find any tutorials about developing EFL-based > programs. > I would prefer to start simple with python and then move on to using it > with > C/C++ as I did with other libs before now. > > I have few nice ideas for a file manager and a launcher, and I decided that > this might be a good opportunity to learn something new since e17 doesn't > really have a fm, and the launcher isn't exactly my style(I prefer simple > stuff like dmenu). > > Could you point me to a simple tutorial/example for creating a windowed > app, > an applet and perhaps a plugin for something? > > Also, this is my first mail on this list, hello everyone. > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > EditLive Enterprise is the world's most technically advanced content > authoring tool.
