[E-devel] why are headers installed into folders ending in "-1" ? (e.g. ecore-1)

Hi

Following the instructions on this page 
http://docs.enlightenment.org/auto/ecore/ I installed a few modules 
(from eina to ecore). I tried two approaches - using the provided 
Slackware packages, and then also tried installing from source 
(./configure, make, make install). In both cases all header files end up 
in folders ending in -1, e.g.  /usr/include/ecore-1 .

On the other hand, the building instructions on this page 
http://docs.enlightenment.org/auto/ecore/ do not add any of these 
directories to the includes:

This section has to be documented. Below is just a quick line to handle 
all Ecore modules at once.

gcc *.c \
*-I/usr/local/include -I/usr/X11R6/include \*
-L/usr/local/lib -L/usr/X11R6/lib \
-lecore -lecore_evas -lecore_x -lecore_fb \
`pkg-config evas --cflags --libs`


Thus, using the above gcc command and the examples from this page 
http://trac.enlightenment.org/e/wiki/Ecore, one can not compile the 
examples.

test1.c:1:19: error: Ecore.h: No such file or directory

Is this a problem with the docs or the installer or am I misinterpreting 
the info on the above pages?

PS. ...of course I can make it compile but looking at all those "-1" 
folders it just seems that something was not done right, most likely the 
installation..?
