shouldn't even get into a rosetta discussion that would be madness lol... about Transifex , Pootle and Damned-lies now. Damned-lies: the current one in http://l10n.enlightenment.org/ sucks as much as the newer versions do and even if for core developers might seem as an adequate solution .. it actually is a PITA for people who just wan't to contribute in localizing enlightenment .. and do not need nor want to even if ever learn about SVN / .po and all devel gibberish. Pootle: might truly be way better than Damned-lies but imho not only it lacks features but even has ones that will never really be needed (is there any subproject using anything beyond .po?) Transifex: well i have worked with transifex for a couple of projects and must say that its online editing features are superior to pootle in many ways also it supports both online and offline editing with file locking to prevent confusion and duplicate / lost work. it also is by far easier to setup and probably migrate to. also its been thoroughly tested and secure. It also is being used by XFCE(own instance) , Fedora (own) , Django & Creative Commons (on common instance transifex.net) and others. also as mentioned by Aron Xu it gives you a choice about the way you want to receive translations (either auto-commit directly to the VCS or by forwarding files to a maintainers address for further checks / reviews). -- Regards, Alex-P.
