I installed gpg2, then enigmail from file. After thunderbird restart I
go into addons->Enigmail->Settings
I am being told that GPG is not found. It tries to find gpg.exe even
though the documentation says that gpg2 is supported so why doesn't it
check for gpg2.exe also? After I click on Setup Wizard button..
I get an XML error popup:
ERROR: RXML parse error: invalid tag. Expected: .
File: chrome://enigmail/content/enigmailSetupWizard.xul
Line: 414, col: 7: &enigmail.setupWiz.pgComplete.desc;
Seems I can continue just fine after closing the XML error. I choose
gpg2.exe in settings and then try to send a test email. I get an error
that gpg.exe can't be found.. which doesn't make any sense because
gpg2.exe is chosen as the provider.
If I try to generate a key I get an error: "Can't reach enigmail service".

XMl error was in my native language (Slovenian) so I did a rough translation in the report. As for gpg path, it seems that Thunderbird needs to be restarted for the custom path to take effect so it seems to be OK now.

What's the language of your Thunderbird (I assume your Thunderbird is not in English)?
For gpg2.exe, make sure you use the following one:

I checked the Slovenian locale; there's indeed a bug in the translation. I'll fix it and notify the translation owner of the change
