I have the same problem with TB 31.1.2, Enigmail 1.7 (20140721-1151) (from standard Ubuntu 14.04 repositories). Changing message signing options for particular message from default, e.g. to "Force not to sign", is not obeyed, message signing still occurs.

These are fixed issues. Please update to Enigmail 1.7.2.

    Hi everyone,

I hope its okay to re-open this discussion, but it perfectly fits my problem. I'm using Thunderbird 38.4.0 and Enigmail 1.8.2 on a Ubuntu Linux 15.10 machine. I'm haven the exact same settings as described by the thread-owner and the exact same problem. Even if I "manually force no signing", the PGP signature is attached to the E-Mails.

Am I missing something? I can provide debug logs if needed!

    Thanks and Merry Chrismas!
    Erik

Can you please try a nigthly build from https://www.enigmail.net/download/nightly.php and check if you can still reproduce the error with that version?

I did what you asked my to do, but I still have the same problem. Now, I'm using Thunderbird 38.5.1 with Enigmail 1.9b2 from "nightly build" ... any further ideas?

Can you please attach a debug log file?

    Here it comes ...

Thanks for the log. I can reproduce this now. It looks like there is something missing if the option "By Per-Recipient Rules" in the "Key Selection" tab is disabled.

I have opened bug 570 for this.
