Clicking on a "Import Key" for a signed mail I don't have the key for, brings up the Download OpenPGP Keys window with the progress staying at 100% forvever (I waited around 5 mins once just to see if some timeout would occur --- nothing changed). See attached screenshot.

Clicking the "Cancel button" then brings up a type error in the TB error console: "TypeError: proc is undefined[Learn More] subprocess.jsm:366:11"

Other errors are not displayed in the TB error during the test.

Note that I'm quite sure that it worked prior to upgrading to 2.0 and I'm also quite sure that the issue appeared after upgrading to 2.0. I however only verified for certain today that the issue is present with 2.0.1 and 2.0.2.

Also in my case the mail I try to import the key for is signed with a PGP key, and encrypted with my own S/MIME key (in case this is relevant for the case).

The importing is done by gpg, not by Enigmail. It could be anything on the network or the key server that could have triggered this.

Just to be sure: did you try to click on Cancel once or several times?

I've to clarify that cancel worked (i.e. the dialog closed after hitting Cancel). I just spotted the error in the TB log and thought I mention it in case it might be relevant (and/or an unrelated issue which still might be worthwhile resolving). Sorry for raising confusion by combining two reports in a single ticket.

So I understand that it's most likely an issue with gpg and not with Enigmail. If so, is there really no way to present an issue gpg might run into to the user? From a users point of view with the current behavior one seems to be quite lost (no indication on whatsover might be wrong).

After a computer reboot the "Import Key" button seems to work again for me. Not sure how you wanna handle this report therefore. IMO it'd still be vital to present at least some feedback/error/progress to the error instead of having ended up with a frozen progress window, but of course all of this is completely your call and if you think that the current behavior is the way you wanna leave it with, I can certainly understand the decision then.

I fixed aborting the download, gpg should now be killed correctly.
