The issue sounds utterly like bug #592. But since that is reported and confirmed fixed in 1.9.2 I don't think that I'm running into the same, but maybe a variation of that original issue.

The symptom is completely the same to me. I sign my own messages I send using S/MIME to a mailing list. The mailing list message I then retrieve via my mail provider which encrypts the message using an OpenPGP key.
When I click on the retrieved message in Thunderbird, it seems as if Enigmail decrypts it in an endless loop (message is flashing).

Can you please attach a sample mail?

Please find attached a sample mail which triggers the problem for me.

That's a regular PGP/MIME encrypted message, which I cannot decrypt. Can you attach a message that is encrypted with my key (0xDB1187B9DD5F693B) ?

That won't work unfortunately, since I cannot use that key with my provider (the provider has some restrictions for the used keys to ensure no private information like fullnames or links to other email addresses is stored on their services).

Assuming the following would be equally suitable for you, I'll create a temp test keypair, rerun the test with that and provide you with the private key, so you can decrypt the test message.

Since I'm away atm, I won't be able to provide that before Sunday however.

Yes, this would work. Alternatively you could also send me the decrypted mail content.

Sorry for the delay. Here's the decrypted test mail I attached above. I used the "Decrypt to folder" option in the context menu on the mail in Thunderbird to decrypt the message.

Please let me know if you require any additional information.
