Even nightly version of extension is not compatible with Thunderbird 29.0a1 version
(If you try to install 1.6 it can be installed from addon manager but it always says that
disabled but nightly version of enigmail couldn't even give permission to even installing )
Todays Enigmail nightly (1.7a1pre (20140119-0013) installs fine in todays Daily (29.0a1 (2014-01-19)).
Which versions did you use?
I have right now downloaded and installed the official 1.6 release from addons.mozilla.org in Thunderbird 29.0a1 (2014-01-19) on Mac OS X. The release works without any issues.
The question is not only which versions, but also Operating System are you using?
Hello again
As i said it before 1.6 can be installed from addon manager in 29.0a1 (2014-01-19 ) but after installation in addon manager it looks like (disabled) (if needed i can send screenshot)
On the other hand if i download nightly version of extension from https://www.enigmail.net/download/nightly/enigmail-nightly-all.xpi and if i select "Install addon from file ..." option inside 29.0a1 (2014-01-19 ) it gives me this error :
"Enigmail could not be installed because it is not compatible with Daily 29.0a1"
I'm using Daily 29.0a1 over Windows 7 Sp1 and gpg (GnuPG) 1.4.13 and
gpg (GnuPG) 2.0.22 (Gpg4win 2.2.1) installed on system.
If needed i might give you teamviewer access to you so you can check from my computer
I just retried on Windows with the latest nightly build of Enigmail and the release build. Both work fine for me with TB Daily.
Please try this:
Go to Tools > Options; switch to the "General" tab and enter the following into the Location field for the mail start page:
Then close the dialog and use the menu Go > Mail start page.
I'm interested in the section Build Platform
I would like to thank you again for adding x86_64 support for next version :)
[PS: Also in website you have to change Windows(32 bit) text to Windows (32 and 64 bit ) ]
Thank you again :)
The "problem" was that Ömer downloaded the 64-bit version of Daily on Windows. I enabled now support for that platform on nightly builds, so the problem is solved.
