Answering an encrypted mail the attribution line gets lost after enigmail decrypts the answer in the editor.
After opening the editor window the attribution line appears above the encrypted content. When decrypted text gets visible the attribution line disappears.
Downgrading to enigmail 2.10 resolves the issue - attribution line persists.
The logic changed quite a bit in Enigmail 2.1.2 for Thunderbird 68.
I think it's fixed in Enigmail 2.1. Please reopen if it's still a problem for you.
As stated in the report this affects enigmail 2.0.11 and later, suitable for thunderbird 60.
enigmail 2.0.10 works as expected.
There are still good reasons to stay with thunderbird 60 as many addons aren't
updated to serve thunderbird 68 yet.
Downgrading to 2.0.10 is a small issue for me or experienced users. But it is a big issue while spreading the word and the application to n00b users to convince them encrypting their mails.
