I used a command like to generate report on a current folder that has coverage.ec and metadata.emma. I got this message. Why is no metadata found?

EMMA: processing input files ...
EMMA: 1 file(s) read and merged in 39 ms
EMMA: nothing to do: no metadata found in any of the data files

  This says "1 file(s)", not "2 file(s)". So you are not giving the tool both coverage.ec and metadata.emma files.
