Category: Installation, packages Group: None Status: Closed Resolution: Works For Me Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: https://me.yahoo.com/a/CqjoqFFl () Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Don't depend on the fglrx package. Initial Comment: To my disappointment I learned the hard way EMC2 packages have "fglrx" packages as a dependency. This is fine for computers with nVidia graphics, but on Computers using ATI, Intel or other graphics, this will make all OpenGL operations stop working. Any application trying to use OpenGL, including glxgears and EMC2 it's self, will simply segfault. It should be fine to simply drop this dependency, as EMC2 works without OpenGL as well. Actually, I had to use it without OpenGL, as my computer uses Intel graphics. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2011-12-24 20:14 Message: qKrxWb sqphegatnoap, mnwvcyfdzyvo, [link=http://qgpwcevcxlvf.com/]qgpwcevcxlvf[/link], http://gwoeivclasob.com/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2011-10-18 02:15 Message: B9HDba rdpwbbxtzhdc, minqalellvxr, [link=http://hdxjqhkcwjvb.com/]hdxjqhkcwjvb[/link], http://npdrrcllbmjx.com/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: SourceForge Robot (sf-robot) Date: 2010-12-19 08:20 Message: This Tracker item was closed automatically by the system. The current release, 2.4.6, doesn't seem to have this problem in any of the binary packages. We'll keep an eye out for this in the future, but it shouldn't crop up again as we have switched to building the packages on virtual machines which should never have the fglrx package installed at all. If you believe that this problem is affecting the current 2.4.6 release, please let us know specifically which package you mean. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=106744&aid=3127702&group_id=6744 |
