Bugs item #1954834, was opened at 2008-04-30 08:59 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=106744&aid=1954834&group_id=6744 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: Stepconf Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Jeff Epler (jepler) Assigned to: Jeff Epler (jepler) Summary: Stepconf blindly accepts step rates that are too high Initial Comment: On the second page, stepconf shows a "maximum step rate" value which is calculated based on latency and step timings. On the axis pages, a step rate for each axis is computed based on the stepping parameters and max speed entered. stepconf could, but does not, check that the axis step rates are lower than the "maximum step rate". Instead, the only indication of misconfiguration is when emc is run and the user encounters joint following error messages. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=106744&aid=1954834&group_id=6744 |
