I'm surprised people in general don't think of the caveats of Open Source...
to me it just seems like a logical association.

I'd have to agree that we are seeking to "commoditize" the hardware in
particular, but we are also seeking to commoditize the software (at least
Cork is, but Outpost will as well)... and I think that doing so will not be
a bad thing for us... we are developing a systems that says "use this and
you'll never have to worry about switching and re-learning, because it will
all work the same way".

In effect, if we are successful (which I think we will be) we will be
forcing the large companies to comply to what we do here... which leads
right into the reason this thing got started in the first place (we were
looking for a way to make money with what we love to do). The fact that we
are also providing a solution that will works makes it all the sweeter.
