I have just started to use Emailrelay and I find it great. But as I am
using it only locally, for filtering emails and re-injecting them to
postfix, I have a question: Is it possible to implement the use of UNIX
sockets in addition to inet connections, or is this already
implemented?

It's something I have implemented recently for another project that uses
the same network code. I was thinking that I would leave it disabled by
default in emailrelay because it makes the documentation and some error
messages a bit clumsy... and of course no one has ever asked for it.
Let me try back-porting it to v2.2.
