For months, I've searched for an open source GUI for Tesseract that would make existing pdfs searchable (rather than extracting the text). Needless to say, I was delighted to find this great little app. So far, Elucidate has handled my book and article scans with accuracy and ease. While it understandably takes a bit of time, I've successfully OCRed scans of 40+ pages without issue. Thanks so much for sharing!
