Feature Requests item #848285, was opened at 2003-11-24 14:52 Message generated for change (Comment added) made by letiemble You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=455075&aid=848285&group_id=49088 Category: Functionnality Group: None >Status: Closed Priority: 5 Submitted By: gui (janssk1) Assigned to: Laurent Etiemble (letiemble) Summary: logging jmx output to file Initial Comment: It might be useful to provide a way of exporting monitored data to a file. In our poduct, we have jmx managed beans (in jboss) keeping track of eg the amount of operations (whatever that might be) performed by that bean. We would like to monitor the amount of operations performed over time. Trying to use ejtools for this, we encountered two problems: - It is not possible to show the difference with the previous value in the graphs. The graphs always show the current value of a variable, which is not really useful for counter like variables. - It is not possible to export monitored data to a file. This would allow use to import the file into excel and do all kinds of cool things with pivot tables. Anyway, we ended up writing our own little jmx logger but it would have been nice to do it with ejtools. The export file format we use is: Time, Variable1, Variable2, Variable3 <time>, <value>, <value>, <value> <time>, <value>, <value>, <value> <time>, <value>, <value>, <value> <time>, <value>, <value>, <value> Greetings. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Laurent Etiemble (letiemble) Date: 2003-11-27 01:40 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=437455 This has been commited in HEAD. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=455075&aid=848285&group_id=49088 |

Feature Requests item #795605, was opened at 2003-08-26 22:50 Message generated for change (Settings changed) made by letiemble You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=455075&aid=795605&group_id=49088 Category: Web App improvements Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Ethan Wolf (ethanocentrism) >Assigned to: Laurent Etiemble (letiemble) Summary: JMX Browser Web App in WebLogic Initial Comment: I deployed the webapp to weblogic 8.1. The lookup of the MBeanServer failed to find an MBeanServer (in org.ejtools.jmx.browser.model.connector.LocalConnection Service.createMBeanServer()). To remedy the problem in my deployment, I modified the method to use the following code to lookup the MBeanServer in weblogic: InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext(); MBeanHome home = (MBeanHome) ctx.lookup (MBeanHome.ADMIN_JNDI_NAME); server = home.getMBeanServer(); (This worked, but I make no guarantees that it is the right approach, I'm just doing what I found on the internet.) In addition, there is a strange bug in the generated html for text with links when I run on weblogic. On the "MBean Detail" page, the "name" column in the table appears on the screen as something akin to: <a href="javascript:alert('');">mBeanInstanceInfo</a> (instead of being a label "mBeanInstanceInfo" with a link). The html source produced for this entry looks like: <td valign="top" align="left"><a href="javascript:alert ('');">mBeanInstanceInfo</a> ---- Thanks for the nice work. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=455075&aid=795605&group_id=49088 |

It seems that the resources are no more properly copied if the directory is not ${basedir}. Must have checked it :( . As for functionnality, the 1.0.2 was a maintenance release for the Web part and doesn't affect the Swing part. That means that you can use the 1.0.1.
