Some comments about the website, having browsed to it
for the first time from a google search.
- There is no easy to locate "download" option on the
home page. The first thing I want to do is download it,
so I can kick the download off, and then start reading
up on what I must do to install it, etc while the
download is taking place.
I eventually, after clicking around blindly, find the
download option by selecting a small 'more resources" link.
- There is no clear description of what it is I am
supposed to download. I am presented with two options,
"tracer" and "presenter". I see no description anywhere
of what these files are, or which I should download. If
I am supposed to download both, I ask why not just have
a single archive?
- A see the news article claiming that an eclipse
plugin is available. I click on the hyperlink,
expecting to go to the home page of the eclipse plugin,
but go to a description of the plugin. No problem, I
can just click on "plugin homepage" and go to the
homepage of the plugin, expecting some kind of link to
download it. When I click there, I end up back where I
started - at the ejp home page. I still do not know
where you get the eclipse plugin.
The above comments are in an attempt at improving the
usability of the website, which is often difficult to
see from an outsider point of view. I believe the above
points should hopefully make the site easier to use if
they are addressed.
