Hi, nice to hear from you. This is the right place to ask questions. The HSQL database files are located in JBOSS_HOME/server/default/data/hypersonic. You can simply back up these files. See also the FAQ over at http://hsqldb.org/. HSQL is not completely failsafe, if you JBoss crashes you may loose some data.
