Read and respond to this message at: http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=1607060 By: nobody Java Applets work in their "sandbox." That is, their sandbox is the machine they are initiated on, which for EIRC is the web server. Java Applets can't connect to machines outside their sandbox, or access the local drives or IO unless they are signed with a digital signature or certficate. So, if EIRC is not running on a web server that is also hosting the IRC sever, it can't work, (unless its signed). This is the security error you are getting. It just means the applet is trying to talk to another machine which is a no no. You can buy a digital signiture from a few services, like verisign, but hey are expensive. Has anyone got a signed jar file for EIRC? Maybe those of us wanting to use it could help defray your costs? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
