Beside lots of bug-fixes the following new features are availible:

Today, we submit FUDeGW forum to CVS. It will be included in the next release from eGW. You can have a preview on the egroupware.org demo. Please reminder: The anonymous CVS is sometimes some days behind the developer CVS.

FUDforum is a multi-lingual template based discussion system. Presently it
supports either MySQL or PostgreSQL database system and adding support for
other databases is fairly easy and may be something done in the near future.
Beyond the basic features one would expect from a forum FUDforum offers a
number of other very interesting features. These include an i18n spell
checker, very flexible group permission system for fine grained control over
user privileges. Private messaging system, buddy lists, ignore lists,
subscriptions, e-mail & icq new post notifications, threaded topic & message
views, NNTP & Mailing List integration, etc... ;)
Most importantly despite all these features FUDforum is very fast and
extremely scalable capable of handling very large number of users even on

In this release we have a lot of bufixes, but also, we have some new features, like the TTS with Petri Net Support. This is a maintenance release, with significant bug and security fixes.
Some small add ons are also included in this release.

Why we change from 001 to 004 ?
We know that some users use CVS to update. We must include some database changes which require, that we switch to 004

In this release, first time, JiNN is included in eGW.

For update from a previous version from eGroupWare, you must enter the setup yourserver/egroupware/setup -> Setup/Config Admin Login -> update -> Re-Check My Installation -> logout or install JiNN :-)

Some people ask about the availibility from this document in HTML format. It will come, maybe in the version 0.3

Other want have, that we write more detailed about the setup
process from eGW. This also come with in one from the next versions. At the moment we redesign the setup. When this is finished, we will add more informations

"JiNN is a multi-site, multi-database, multi-user/-group, database driven
Content Management System written in and for the eGroupWare Framework. JiNN

Wa are proud to announce our first pre release from eGroupWare. Please don't use this release in production enviroments. This release is for testing only. You can help us to donwload it and test it.
