Hi all, I'm having troubles with /game/Makefile in the 2.9.x branch as copied from read-only svn archive. It looks like lots of confusion between .c and .cpp files and other misnamed files. Could I be using the svn archive incorrectly? Is there more to it than just: svn checkout svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/egoboo/svn/ egoboo-svn cd egoboo-svn/branches/2.9.x/ make all Thanks for any pointers. Bob |

Hi With the code for lua's hash table Elmin introduced a mix of C and C++ code that's definitely not supported by my BCW Compiler. So I decided to leave the project. I'll take a look now and then to the forum and gonna help newbies with tips. So please remove me from the "people" side. Thank you. I wish you a merry X-mas and a happy new year. Paul / bitnapper |

Just in case you didn't see it on the Forum : Guys, We *NEED* a new build. We have all kinds of already-fixed bugs that found there way back into the downloads on the page. In addition to that, we have a bunch of new bug fixes that people have submitted that we can't get in. Also, we may be able to do some level updating (I've seen a lot of good models lately). Anyhow, the CVS is not building for me, and it seems like multiple problems may exist in it. Therefore, I'm going to try to revert to an older (more stable) version of the CVS, get the bug fixes/level updates in, and re-release binaries. If this is going to happen, i'm going to need some help. First off, I can do the linux compile, but I need somebody to do the windows and Mac builds. Anybody able to do this? Also, now would be the time to get your new levels together (or get your models into existing levels). For example, i'd love to see the ammo box get added (i don't know what happened to it). Please email me (bishop at cs . uga dot edu) with contributed stuff, or if you can help with the builds. -=Ben |

Hello, I was thinking about making some fixes to the EgoBoo source. I found a fix for the NVidia Transparency problem and posted it up on the forums. I am currently getting the code with CVS and would like to know if it is ok if I fix some of the OpenGL issues. - James Talton. I think, that's allright. Any help is welcome. Paul / bitnapper |

Attached is a replacement CVSROOT/cvswrappers file that handles all relevant binary files. I'm currently copying over my 2.1 files over the CVS ones - should I post the script for an CVS admin to use to restore the files? M. R. |

The following patch allows CVS to build properly. What is the normal procedure for submitting patches? Is the Egoboo CVS tree world-writeable (I hope not, but the egoboo.sf.net page implied as much)? I'm currently running into some input handling problems, the joystick input code seems to be broken (I haven't tested keyboard or mouse yet), and input.[ch] looks like it's in need of a rewrite anyway, so I'll get on that soon. Guys, I looked into the web site problem. Somebody killed a bunch of files in there. I've since restored what I could and tightened up the permissions. Hopefully this will help in the future. However, we are still missing a lot of the files (especially important are the binary downloads). Does anybody have these or can they be recompiled and sent to me in order to repost? You could also send me a link to a mirror. Here are the axed files: 4 cartman2.zip 4 cvs.tar.Z 4 egoboo.zip 4 egoboohack.zip 4 egoextra.zip 4 egosan 4 egosan.tgz 4 egosan.zip 4 howto.txt 4 index.bak (not needed) 4 index.html.bak (not needed) -Ben |

Yeah, that would be fine, but I would appreciate it if you would include a link back to the sourceforge site.
