EE Editor wont save any changes to character or save-game.
EE Keeper is a saved game editor for Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition.

Hey peeps!
I use Windows XP and when I edit either a save-game or a character the editor does not seem to actually save any changes I make. It gives the message that it has been saved, but there is nothing to be found either in the respective folder or in-game.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Ben

Hey Ben,
Can you give me more details on the path/location you are using for the save games?

i have the same problem on windows 8.1 ... ee keeper think he saved game, does not make any files in save directory, and only ee keeper "see" files he "make" game does not see them....(because there are no file made in fact i do not know form where ee keeper takes them)
path : default steam directory for games
savepath : documents (i guess it is default)
ee keeper 1.0.3.2
edit: okeeey as i searched for these files they are made but they are ... in strange place ...
they are made in C:/VTRoot/HarddiskVolume1/users (rest of the path is obvious)
instead of C/users (rest of the path is obvious)
in fact all what have to be done to get it working is copy files from strange directory to normal one (ee keeper see files from both at once)

I'm not entirely sure what's happening here. Are you saying that EE Keeper is creating new save games under C:/VTRoot/HarddiskVolume1/users or that the game is?

VTRoot stuff is most likely a sandbox issue from their antivirus. I assume he is using comodo internet security. This isn't a bug with the program, it's most likely the antivirus being overprotective because it doesn't recognize the program as safe.
They might be able to fix the problem by adding the program to the CIS ignore list. Otherwise they can disable auto-sandbox by going Tasks > Advanced Tasks > Advanced settings > Security Settings> Defense +> Sandbox.
Definitely not a bug in your program though.

I am having the same issue. It says that it is saving, and if I load save game files, it lists the copies it has made, but the physical copies are not actually in my save game folder.
