I got "Don't understand Swahili words like ordained ;)!!",
while the real problem was the network. After some time
it worked fine. Probably the connection timed out, but
the message is not appropriate.
If I disconnect my cable, I don't see the error message you
are seeing. Rather, I see the perl error during connect. May
be, the data returned by your edict query wasn't properly
formatted or may be, edict doesn't support that format. I
know of one case where the latter may be true - when
Transfer-encoding is of type chunked.
