EDE SVN code cannot be downloaded using command on Sourceforge EDE SVN web page

For the EDE project, if I select the Code tab to go to

https://sourceforge.net/p/ede/code/HEAD/tree

and view the SVN code repository, it states to download a copy of the code

svn checkout https://svn.code.sf.net/p/ede/code/trunk ede-code

Execution of this command results in the error message

svn: E170000: URL 'https://svn.code.sf.net/p/ede/code/trunk' doesn't exist

Is this error deliberate so that people wishing to download the code must go to the Github repository?

Is the Github repository in fact the latest most up-to-date version?

Furthermore, on the Github edelib page at

https://github.com/edeproject/edelib

it states

Thanks for catching these. Please use github and git for EDE - I'm not sure what is state of SourceForge svn service - I suppose I'll need to shut down those.

I'm aware of this. I've started to move EDE site on one of my servers and the only thing left to complete is bugzilla migration.
