EcoWin: Energy Consumption Overview With Integrated Notifications aims to provide a free and open source for managing and displaying energy usage.

In addition to providing the tools needed the access, log, and display meter data. EcoWin also provides the functionality to monitor the data and automatically send out e-mail or SMS messages in response to unexpected usage.

EcoWin was developed as the senior project by the class of 2011 computer science majors at Luther College, under the supervision of Dr. Kent Lee. They released the results of their work into the public domain using the Creative Commons CC0 tool. (Available as revision cfa67c in the code repository). The project management system used during that development can still be found at http://knuth.luther.edu:8000/

Continued development is intended to take place here and will be licensed under the GPL.
