Hi there,
Yesterday I asked help on the compile problems. Today I did the same
process on another computer. The same operations, but no any errors!
Yesterday the java version is
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_05-b13)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.5-b02, mixed mode)
Today the version is
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_67-b01)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 24.65-b04, mixed mode, sharing)
Then according to the instructions, I tried
>From Eclipse open `Run -> Run Configurations'.
Expand Eclipse Application tree from the list at the left and select
EclipseTrader.
Program to Run:
Run a product: org.eclipsetrader.platform.workbench
But I got launch errors.
How could I fix the launch error?
Many thanks!
yours,
Ying

Hello, I would like to download the current source for v 1.0M1, which can be browsed at www.eclipsetrader.org and is not the same as the source at the sourceforge site. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. Regards, Gerard |

Hi, I´ve extended net.sourceforge.eclipsetrader.core.accountProviders to create a new specific account class. But how would i make eclipse trader to use other "new account wizard" than NewAccountWizard preserving RCP concepts? tks, Roberto |

Good night (Spain) guys! First I want to bring you congratulations for the software. It's simply wonderful. I'd like to help to the project with the spanish translation. Is this possible? Thanks Saturn http://www.aruoc.org http://spacesaturn.metropoliglobal.com |

Hi Marco, I know what's the problem. In the Eclipse perferences path General->Content Types you set the default encoding for different file types. On my PC the Java Properties File content type is encoded in ISO-8859-1. May be on your machine UTF-8 is set in Eclipse. In this case, I think you opened the files I sent you in eclipse as UTF-8, but they were encoded with ISO-8859-1 encoding. Let me know whats your encoding for *.properties and plugin.properties files. If I send you the translations again, we must use the same encoding. Another way would be to add the files directly from my PC into the repository. In this case the encoding is handled automatically. For me it would be better to access the repository myself, otherwise I always have to replace my local copies by the latest from the repository after I sent them to you. For new files that's a lot of work. Do you have a schedule for the next release? Would be good to get the german translation done until the next release. Regards Heiko |

Hi Marco, I searched my workspace for a .prefs file, but nothing found. It seems there is nothing special. I had a look on my local copy of the patch files generated. If I open them with UTF-8 Editor mode, the umlauts are represented as '?' character. I'll have a look on the patch creation and give you an info, if I got it. Regards, Heiko |

When you edit a file in a codepage different than the default, Eclipse=20 should create a .settings folder with a .prefs file with the codepage=20 settings for that file. If we check in this folder the settings should=20 be maintained. However the problem is not just how to maintain the editor settings, but = also how to make it working correctly at runtime (the .settings folder=20 is not exported with the plugin). If you edit the files as UTF-8, the=20 runtime environment must be set to use that codepage. I'm not an expert on this field, so any suggestion is welcome. Regards, Marco. |

All feature should be implemented, more or less. Trading is a special case because, so far, I haven't found any service with a public SDK that allow to develop and test a trading application without opening an account first (these accounds requires a minimum deposit in most cases that I can't afford). If you mean developers documentation, there isn't much beyond the source code itself. If you want to implement something, like a data source provider, look at the source code of one of the plugins (for example the Yahoo plugin) to see how it is actually implemented. Feel free to post your questions here. Regards, Marco. |

interactive brokers trading API allows creation of order that is not =
transferred to the exchange, but stays in the IB's trading system.
For displaying such order in eclipsetrader I suggest adding new status =
to OrderStatus class that can be called UNPLACED, see below.
Thanks.
Igor
package net.sourceforge.eclipsetrader.core.db;
public class OrderStatus {
public static OrderStatus UNPLACED =3D new OrderStatus(8);

Hi Marco, I did a german translation for Eclipse Trader. Now I want to submit my translation to the project. I had to change some java sourcecode files, because of missing string externalization. Thus new messages.properties files were created. Additionally I created messages_de.properties files for the german translations. How do you expect hat I submit my changes to you? As a patch files? If I only create a ZIP file for each package, I think it's difficult for you to find out which are new and which are modified files. The easiest way would be if I would be able to checkin the translation into the SVN repository. What do you think? Cheers, Heiko |

If you mean a logical classification, yes, the groups can be used (when the new security explorer view is finished). If you mean a classification in order to provide different functionalities based in the security type, then this isn't yet possibile. The security object should be refactored as a 'base' Instrument class or interface and then the various Equity, Option, Index, Bond, classes are derived. Regards, Marco. |
