I was able to get access to a Linux system (Red Hat) and debug the 
problems that ETEE users have reported.
I've cleaned up the process termination code for both normal process 
termination and user requested
cancellation from a progress monitor (for longer running processes).

to download the new plugin. The Eclipse Update Manager site still 
exists, although I prefer that users
download from the SourceForge File Release System so that I can track 
the number of downloads.
