    Dear Daniel,

thanks for your report and the ps.

In principal I know about the bug, though I'm very unsure
where to hunt for it. The problem at hand is, that the
marker is SET and then UNSET immediately, but you only see
    the delete message.

    Try this:

    Open the "Keys" Preferences (Window->Preferences
Workbench=>Keys), klick into "Key Sequence, Name" and then
    press Ctrl+Shift: you'll see "Ctrl+Shift+" ...

now press 2 additionally: strange, you will see
"Ctrl+Shift+2, Ctrl+Shift+2" ... huhh? The key pressed twice?

Try again after deleting the "Name" with BACKSPACE. Try
Ctrl+Shift+0,1,3..9 ... they all appear correctly as
"Ctrl+Shift+N". Seems to have to do with Windows XP? Because
others, I asked, never had this problem.

    Any hints are very welcome

    best regards

    Georg (alias deerwood)

    I don't receive any error message but Ctrl+Shift+2 doesn't
set the bookmark #2, and Alt+2 doesn't jump to it.

All other bookmarks (1,3,4,...) work ok.

Observed this behavour with Eclipse 3.0 and 3.1

The workaround for this is: rebind Quickmark #2 to the
'strange' keys. So, if your system gives you "Ctrl+Shift+2,
Ctrl+Shift+2" when you only press "Ctrl+Shift+2", then just
rebind to that doubled key sequence. Voila, #2 will work then.
