Dear Checkstyle community,

the eclipse-cs project is relieved to announce the release of the Eclipse Checkstyle Plugin 5.0.0 final.
After several months in beta no new bugs have been filed since beta4, so this version is assumed to be sufficiently stable.

The Eclipse Checkstyle Plug-in 4.4.2 has been released.
The new version fixes some incompatibilities with the hot-off-the-press Eclipse 3.4 (aka Ganymede). Thanks to the good people at the Eclipse project (especially Daniel Megert) for the support in fixing those issues.

The eclipse-cs team released the Eclipse Checkstyle Plug-in 4.4.1 today.
This release fixes some issues with the 4.4.0 release, especially a compatibility issue that prevented the plugin from working with a Java 1.4 VM.

Sadly the "logo wanted" query from last release resulted in exactly zero responses, so you will have to live with my MS-Paint results for the time being.

Since we (the project members) are pretty much unskilled graphicwise we
would like to ask the Checkstyle community to help out.

The new release builds upon the new Checkstyle 4.3 core which was
released earlier today. Kudos to the Checkstyle team for their great work!

The Eclipse Checkstyle Plugin (http://eclipse-cs.sourceforge.net) Version 4.1.1 has just been released.

It contains some minor bugfixes.
Long time users might notice a speed improvement of Checkstyle marker updates when editing and saving a checked file.
This is due to a bug that broke the configuration caching in the last releases, which is now fixed.

Following the release of Checkstyle 4.2 the eclipse-cs team proudly presents you the final release of the Eclipse Checkstyle Plug-in 4.1.0, which of course uses the latest Checkstyle version.

Version 4.1.0 further improves teamworking support by introducing "local configurations", which means that all necessary project setup data can be stored with the project. This way when a new team member checks out a project from version control Checkstyle will be already set up for this project.
No more lame excuses for not using Checkstyle...

The elipse-cs team is proud to present a useful addition to the regular Eclipse Checkstyle Plug-in - the Checkstyle Statistics Plug-in.
Originally contributed by Fabrice Bellingard the Statistics Plug-in provides two views which greatly ease up handling of large amounts of Checkstyle violations and add some eye candy.

Following the Checkstyle 4.1 bugfix release the eclipse-cs project is proud to announce the release of version 4.0.1 of the Eclipse Checkstyle Plug-in (eclipse-cs).

This release only integrates Checkstyle 4.1, no other changes or bugfixes have been made since the 4.0.0 final release.
I guess we have been lazy ;-)
