Category: eclipse-ccase Group: 2.x Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: AndyLing (andy_ling) >Assigned to: Mikael Petterson (eraonel) Summary: Plugin is inactive for eclipse links Initial Comment: If you create a "Linked folder" in eclipse by doing New->Folder, Advanced->"Link to folder in the file system" It is not possible to perform clearcase operations on this folder. All the menu options are greyed out except Refresh state and apply patch. Checking the properties of the folder shows it maps to a "real" native folder which is under clearcase control. As a minimum, Find checkouts would be very useful. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Mikael Petterson (eraonel) Date: 2009-01-26 18:44 Message: Hi Andy. Is folder in New Folder a clearcase element? I guess that the folder exists and then you select the path U:\Quentin\Manager\src and the name becomes src of the linked folder. Right? Since it is within a view the folder it shold be possible to add/refresh and so on. I will have a deeper look at it. cheers, //mike Ps. Thanks for all the pics. That is always of great help. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: AndyLing (andy_ling) Date: 2009-01-26 15:44 Message: Hi Mike, I'm using plugin 2.1.5, eclipse 3.4.1 The folder link I am talking about is in eclipse. If you select "File->New->Folder" in eclipse you get a popup like the one in the attached png. If you click on the advanced button at the bottom, it gives you an option to "link to folder in the file system". Select this and browse to a folder in a clearcase view. In the New folder popup I have sent, you can see tow folders, src & installer, that are linked folders. You can tell this by the small arrow on the folder icon. The properties for the src folder are shown in the attached png. You can see the type of the folder is "Linked folder" and its location is U:\Quentin\Manager\src. U: is a clearcase view and src is under clearcase control. You can see from the Package window png attached that all the files and folders under src are recognised by the plugin as under clearcase control, but the src folder is not. Hope that helps. Is the folder within clearcase vob? If yes can you please describe what you input. Is the 'link to folder in the file system' a clearcase element? Also a nice picture would be nice to have so I can see what you input in the New Folder wizard. cheers, //mike ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=460297&aid=2523820&group_id=50595 |
