Searching the web for e.g. "emacs ecb", however, still leads to http://ecb.sourceforge.net/, with its latest release of ECB (2.40) dating back to 2009. This will most probably lure people into thinking that ECB is essentially dead, when, in fact, it is not. I guess since Alex as well as you set up your own ECB repos, there is no write access to the old SourceForge site? If someone has access, I'd propose to at least insert some info about the repo having moved to a new location and that the old site is kept in place solely for historical reasons. Sounds sound?
