Hello Patrick, I would like to ask you whether you decided to cooperate with us in development of Hermes 2 and share CVS tree with us?=20 Could you explain me arguments against such cooperation? I can write you some list of arguments against it and add some explanation. Arguments against cooperation 1) Webswell will swallow new potential customers for you. In fact we do not have any customers in Asia. We are able to serve couple customers in these days in the same time and even if we hire 100 people this will still allow us to have 10-20 customers in the same time. The market for integration tools is huge. We are not your competitors but other open source implementation of integration tools are. They can take huge share of the open source integration market.=20 In near future some tools can appear that can take market share such as Tomcat in JSP/servlet containers. Who will need services for Hermes 2? I my opinion if we work together we can expand market share of Hermes 2. You will have more customers and your code will be used by more companies. It could become open source standard in ebxml/as2 implementations. This could have huge potential. 2) Webswell will shift development of Hermes 2 to some other direction. No we will not. We need rock stable communication system. We do have other tools in our package to do other jobs so we do not need to change direction of any component. If we miss some functionality we will develop it in separate component. 3) Webswell will have some legal problems in future. Well we have learned a lot during the legal dispute with Auto/Mate. The dispute is settled and we have hired very good lawyer company to create agreements for us. We have changed our license to GPL and I do not expect any legal problems. 4) Webswell does not have right experience to help us build Hermes 2. Well we have gain bunch of experience in ebxml implementation during last 5 years. We have worked on large projects and we know a lot about enterprise integration. You have to look what we have done. Ladislav I am looking forward for your arguments for and against. On Mon, 2007-01-08 at 16:16 +0800, Patrick Yee wrote: > Hello, >=20 > I think there is no standard ways to do so.
