This has been the problem in my mind for a long time. The answer
is that there is no easy way to add such a digest. Personally speaking,
I don't find the Apache XML security lib easy to use. At least, some
element classes that should not be accessed directly somehow go public
while some elements I want cannot be retrieved via its API. I will
follow this again but we focus on the release this week.
