In the Tomcat 4.1.18 distribution, there are only two files in the common/endorsed directory: xercesImpl.jar and xmlParserAPIs.jar. I presum= e you're including xalan.jar (from msh.war, which is already in msh/WEB-INF/lib) in your 3 files?
