Just ignore the error message when registering, as you will have actually been registered

After the error message, go to the 'Remind me of my password page'

Once you get your 'reminder', you should login  (ignore the login error message)

Return to the home page and you'll find yourself logged in and able to edit pages.

I tried to create an account and login, but it appears that part of the site is configured to run at port 8080, which is refusing
connections.
I was able to create the account and get it sent to me, but login redirects to  port 8080..
