[ebxmlms-general] https proxy

I tried to use the proxy settings as to be configured in
msh.properties.xml (using the element <Proxy>).
The proxy settings will work for HTTP connection but it is ignored for
HTTPS connections.
The workaround I found is to set the Java system properties for tomcat
(if used as servlet/jsp engine) using JAVA_OPTS=-Dhttps.proxyHost=host
-Dhttps.proxyPort=port.

Is there a more elegant way to set the proxy for HTTPS connections with
hermes?
