    We are using hypersonic in server mode in one of our apps using JDBC
DAOs. 
 
    I will try the file mode and see if that works but with mysql it looks
great for now. Thanks!
 
    Any other hermes documentation available (other than dev. and install
guide) will be very useful!

I see what you mean. We have tested hsql previously, but only in the file
mode, not in server mode. So, I am not sure about the cause in your
situation. Are you sure the server can be accessible by a very simple Java
program using JDBC?
