One stroke or gesture gives access to a subgroup of gestures.
The gesture C, followed by gesture L, followed bu gesture S triggers the action 'clear' in the Terminal.
Having a gesture opening up groups of subgestures makes it possible for users to use mnemonics where all gestures in a group have the same start-gesture. Easy to remember: 'all my browser-actions begins with an underscore'. The user can also use this to more or less write the name of the action he's trying to trigger.

By highlighting an action and clicking 'create action' the new action is a sub-action.
