No

May I propose a minor modification to the fileopenbox?
Add a keyword argument multiple=None
Further on in the function modify the source with
if multple:
askopenfilenames(....)
....
else:
askopenfilename(....)
....

The fileopenbox demo could be extended with:
msg = "Multiple Python files"
title = "Open multiple files"
default="*.py"
f = fileopenbox(msg,title,default=default,multiple=True)
writeln("You chose to open files:")
for fi in f:
writeln(" %s" % fi)

my version is attached
