#55 PDF export gs_path fix in 1.3.8.7 not working

Running from source on Debian-based Linux (Raspberry Pi OS). CHANGES for 1.3.8.7 says problem of byte rather than string for gs_path was fixed. Not fixed for me. Am now getting extra characters before and after the correct path.

No such file or directory: "b'/usr/bin/gs'" when the real path is /usr/bin/gs

Working round it by hard coding the correct path at easy_abc.py line 931 doesn't seem to break anything else, yet.
