I am experiencing an odd problem. If I type a letter in the tune part, the program often displays a different letter or none at all. For example, if I type D I get G; F gives C; A and E give nothing; B and C give the right letters. It is consistent in its errors.

I have had the problem for some while now, with earlier releases, but have only now figured out how to ask for help.

I have been using EasyABC for a while and think it's great, but this problem is frustrating.

I just posted a ticket for a similar problem--several letters won't show up when typed. Really reduces the program's functionality, but all the alternatives I've explore are clunky in comparison the EasyABC--when it's working.

Just to post further details. All keys work perfectly well when typing comments or song words. It's only when entering notes the keyboard is practically useless.

You probably have enabled Do-re-mi-mode with ctrl-d. You can disable it again by pressing ctrl-d or in the menu Settings -> ABC typing assistence -> Do-re-mi mode

Ah, thanks. That simple! I wonder if having a shortcut that is easy to hit in error is a good idea? Indeed, does that facility even need a shortcut? Just my 2 cents!
