#10 OS X 10.11: Editor font chooser crashes application

I have just begun using EasyABC and I am very impressed. It's now my abc editor of choice.
When I select View : Change Editor Font a standard font dialog appears.
However, attempting to actually change the font in use (or its color, type size, etc) causes EasyABC to "quit unexpectedly."
System is OS X El Capitan 10.11.6, up to date on a not-particularly-new Intel MacBook Pro.

Dear Tom,

This is a known issue. The macOS version of EasyABC is built with wxPython 2.8. This version contains that bug. Newer versions of wxPython seem to produce bus errors on macOS so that is why we stick to version 2.8. If you (or anyone who reads this) manages to produce a stable build with a newer version of wxPython please let us know.
