Does anyone know the purpose of the greyed-out print in the ABC code window? I find it very annoying but before I get too carried away, I thought there might be a purpose to it. If there isn't, is there any way of getting rid of it and having the display become more visible? I'm not a young 20/20 guy anymore and any improvement in visibility is appreciated.

what machine? I don't recall happening on the Mac, though I am away from the machine.
MacBook Air running 10.13.4 but seems to happen on earlier OS's as well.
Hello Bill,
I think it is because the code window is read only. And a read only control is displayed grey apparently in macOS.
The only way to ungrey it is to make the code editable again I think.
