Hello: I'm wondering if anyone is experiencing intermittent problems with executables complied with dzcomm, djgpp, and allegro. First, my environment: DOS 6.22 GCC- 3.2.1 DJGPP 2.03? RHIDE 1.49 DZCOMM 099D ALLEGRO 4.0.2 Problem: DZCOMM example EXTERM compiles just fine. The problem occurs when I try to run the executable. In every case, the program appears to execute properly, but roughly half the time, it will refuse to transmit characters, and likewise refuse to respond to characters sent to it. If I run EXTERM.EXE, test it, exit, and run it again, over and over, I find that the program works about half of the time. There is no apparent pattern to times it works or doesn't work. I've tried to print every conceivable status of various calls, but there is no indication that anything has gone wrong. I have tried monkeying with the com parameters, but this has no impact. I am using COM port 1. Has anyone seen this problem before? Can anyone suggest a solution? TIA |
