Hi, I have a problem when I try to select a given item from a MenuList Object in some web browsers. In most browsers the problem does not appear, but in MS Explorer 5.5 and others it does. The matter is that the selection area of the items in the list is very small, and sometimes I can hardly click on it. I have to move the pointer up and down slowly until it is selected, and sometimes I can't select the item. Is there any solution? Please. I have a dynamic tooltip which works fine with Netscape/Mozilla, but
refuses to appear above some dynamically created dropdowns under IE5/6.
It seems ok for other widgets, but I'm not really certain.
The z order is set by CSS in a class as
z-index: 100000;
anyone know how to do this right? I've tried setting th zIndex style
attribute, but that also fails to put it above the dropdown.

I've seen te problem before. I think this should fix
it:
Change line 59 in dyndocument.js from:
DynAPI.addLoadFunction("DynAPI.document =
DynAPI.addChild(new
DynDocument(self));DynAPI.document.all =
DynObject.all;")
to
DynAPI.addLoadFunction("DynAPI.document =
DynAPI.addChild(new
DynDocument(window));DynAPI.document.all =
DynObject.all;")
I'm of the believe that the self.onload events are not
trigger with IE SP1.
Give it a try and let us know if it works.

Hi all. Have recently run across a problem with IE 6 with SP 1 installed and Dynapi, dynlayer to be exact. Recently only 1 machine (out of hundreds) turned up a problem with a website I created using Dynapi/dynlayer. The content is displayed in a dynlayer and every time this one pc tried to access the content on the site, the user would get a dynapi error and none of the content in the dynlayer is displayed. I believe the layers aren't even being created, but I couldn't be sure. Since most of the content on the site is done in dynamic layers, this seriously impacted this person's ability to use the site. In doing some research using the IE version number (6.0.2800.1106), I found that this is IE 6.0 with SP1 installed. I also found that many people were having javascript problems with this SP installed. So, I had the tech handling the issue uninstall SP1 and the DynApi error went away, they dynlayers are created and all content is displayed as it should be ! Has anyone run across this and is there a fix ? I haven't upgraded to 2.5.7 yet, but they have created a new disk image with IE SP1 built into it, so this problem IS going to come back to bite us. Hi,
I extended the List widget as MyList and added it to my page using the
DynAPI.document.addInflowChild(layerName) - api call.
But myList does not seem to receive mouse events (clicks)
However it works if I add the widget to my html, using the standard way,
thru the DyAPI.onLoad() function.
Besides the "text" of the items added to myList can be selected by dragging
the mouse over them.

As is known, The DynAPI2 documentation is currently available online at (http://dynapi.sourceforge.net/doccenter/ <http://dynapi.sourceforge.net/doccenter/> ) This is a request for a copy (in either zip/ html/ pdf) of the same DynAPI2 documentation. I tried tools like (WebSnake) to create a local copy of the documentation for offline browsing, but as the pages are served by an index.php with variable parameters, it could not download successfully. Hi all,
I am able to extend the DynLayer into a different class
and intialize that class. But i am not able to extend the
DynDocument. something like this,

Workbench.prototype = DynDocument.prototype;
Browser throws an error saying "'document' is null or not an object".
BTW, Can some one send me some tutorials from RichardInfo.com or other
dynapi sites, if somebody has them downloaded. no site in the Most
Visited Links seem to work. Any suggestion would be of great help.
