Hello everyone! I was wondering if someone a bit more tech savvy could help me with an issue I am having with DVD Styler?
I have tried a few other softwares for burning DVDs and making menus and this one seems to meet all my needs.
However when I begin the process and it starts to encode it takes days for it to complete a DVD.
Just for clarification I have searched the forum already and have seen there are other people with issues similar but nothing that seems to indicate anyone has to wait as long as I do and unfortunately answers/solutions are in too tehcnically complicated language for me to follow anyway...
I am trying to make a DVD with menus for my son. I have chosen to have the content I want on the DVD fit the DVD as it is just a little too much lengthwise, but not a huge amount over and no disceranble change in quality on the preview.
There are thirteen video files to be burned and once I get started it takes so long that at first I thought it had frozen. In the end I left it encoding (I think that is what it is doing) and by morning it had managed to encode three of the video files. After twenty-four hours of leaving it running it was about halfway and I cancelled it.
I have attached a picture of the point in the process where things start to slow down.
If anyone has any ideas on what I can do to speed it up a bit it would be greatly appreciated.
Go into the settings menu, on the core tab, use internal as encoder, I've never had any problems since I've stopped using ffmpeg. No noticeable quality difference, and \it's much faster.

Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately this has made no change in the time for myself... it is again only at the first video clip in the encoding and I have been running it for hours. It hasn't frozen, it's just really slow. I think I would need to leave it forty-eight hours for it to complete one DVD burn which can't be right...

If it's only that one video giving you problems,, convert it to a DVD format Mpeg before feeding it into DVDStyler, and then, just make sure Styker doesn't reconvert it by ticking the box in the video's properties dialogue..

Well it will be all thirteen video clips that is am trying to put on as they are all from the same origin... but I could convert all thirteen...
Sorry to be a nuisance but would you be able to give me a little more info on how I would go about it? Use an online converter? Or is this something Windows can do?
Thanks!
