From time to time I see post in the forum about people complaining about the look of subtitles in DVDStyler latest here:

    https://sourceforge.net/p/dvdstyler/discussion/318795/thread/4acffec2/

The easiest solution to get nice looking subtitles is to hardcode them but should you need selectable softcoded subtitles I made a demo on how I do in order to get what I find acceptable looking subtitles.

The demo with necessary files are in the attached Project.zip and should be extracted to c:\DVDStyler. The result is the attached Subtitle.iso.

    Cheers

//EDIT: It turns out that the softcoded subtitles in DVDStyler has a bug in outlining Persian (Farsi), Arabic and ?? subtitles which is avoided using the method in the demo

Very nice write up JMJ. Yes hardcoded subtitles will look better but sometimes softcoded is needed for various reasons and the settings you use here are very acceptable for softcoded subtitles. I will be using this in future projects that require sutitles. I think this is the best that we are gonna get from DVD Styler in terms of softcoded sub, Great Advice JMJ.
